Well, my summer is over and I have now been back at uni for a week! I am already stressed!
I think this year is going to be very very difficult but I am looking forward to qualifying and I am going to give it my all this year!
Its a very scary but exciting thought that I am going to be a nurse in less than a year! I've managed to last it out! :)

Well, I had my exam resit today and I passed... I am now officially in my final year of university!
oh S**T!!! I am so scared!!! But its now less than a year until I am a fully qualified nurse!!! Actually, thats a scary prospect too! No more "I'll just check with a staff nurse for you".... I am the staff nurse!!! :o

Well, I spent near enough the whole day with Greig yesterday! He just got back from a weeks holiday in Center Parcs and unfortunately I couldn't go so I missed him for the whole week! But he's back now and I got loads of nice hugs and kisses yesterday!

He brought me back a teapot and cup (cause I love my cups of tea), a snowglobe and a fridge magnet which I will post pictures of in a while! :)

I'm wondering what causes us to feel bored? I've been bored all night, well most of it anyway...and I have no idea why! I've just felt really bored! But... I can't really think of what I want to do to cure that bored feeling!

I've been sat talking to Elann on MSN and she is a wonder woman I tell ya! She is curing my boredom! We've been sharing photos and having a bit of a catch up which I love, I have missed that girl! :D

Seriously though....who decided that this feeling of being bored would be named boredom....why is that feeling not known as happy or sad etc

Well, I failed my OSCE! (can't remember what the O stands for (think it might be Objective) but the rest of it is Simulated Clinical Exam) In other words, practical exam! Ok, Amy looked it up for me - Objective Structured Clinical Exam

I am so disappointed with myself! I felt so confident before the exam and when I got in there, nerves just totally blew everything I had revised out of my head! I just totally blanked and couldn't remember how to do the things they were asking me to do! I completely forgot about infection control, I forgot to put the man's slippers on him when he got up to go to the toilet (so patient safety was completely compromised!) and I just totally blew it!

So I'm gonna have to do a resit now which us students have to pay for (which I think is shocking!) I wouldn't mind doing the resit if we didn't have to pay for it! And its not my fault nerves got the better of me! I knew how to do everything they were asking me to, i just completely blanked because of nerves! I'm so annoyed with myself though!

As a nursing student, I have this annoying habit of picking up on the attitudes and ways in which other nurses work. I had the joys of having to get blood taken this morning (long and boring story which i won't go into!) and the nurse taking my blood has really annoyed me!

Her attitude totally stunk!!! She acted all high and mighty and it felt like she thought I shouldn't know anything about the symptoms behind why I wanted the blood tests taken and then when we were discussing it, I told her that I was trying to lose weight and was struggling and she gave me this look as if to say "yeah I can see that"

I was so taken aback by her reaction to my discussing that with her! Its something thats actually a very touchy subject with me! I'm very self-conscious about my weight and to have a nurse look at me in the way she did... I felt so degraded and actually a little ashamed!

As a student nurse I know that nurses are supposed to keep their own feelings at bay and treat every patient holistically! If a patient smells awful, you keep your face unreacting...even if you feel like screwing ur face up in disgust! Nurses are never EVER meant to be judgemental and I felt like she was! I was so pissed off with her today!

Nevertheless, I had my blood tests taken and I get the results back in a week!

It's Getting To That Time Of Year

My first exam is tomorrow! I have another on the 30th! I have about a million assignments to be handed in on April 30th and May 7th! Its a nightmare!

However, 3rd year is almost over and I now only have one more year to go!!! I'm hoping it flies by because I'm getting fed up now! I just want to be qualified!!! Its so frustrating but I'm actually not too worried about this exam tomorrow! Its only a 25minute long exam, its practical, and I feel pretty confident that I know what I'm doing so fingers crossed my nerves don't mess me up!

I LOVE easter for the simple fact that its Chocolate Heaven! I got 2 Easter Eggs! A Cadbury's Buttons one from my mum and a cadburys creme egg one from Greig's mum and dad!

I got a LOVELY box of ferrero rocher from Greig... shaped like a rabbit:

Whole Hazelnut in Milk Chocolate and Nut Croquante :D Mmmmmm! You just can't beat Ferrero Rocher... although i don't actually know what Nut Croquante is! :-s But it tastes good lol!

Anyway, inside this box, its like a tray with the chocolates sitting in it, well Greig lifted the tray of chocolates out and there's like a paper insert in the box... I have seriously never been so excited over a bit paper.... all it said was that he is taking me to see Beauty And The Beast stage show!!! :D Excitedness!!!

Well, i pretty much sucked at keeping this a regular thing but thank you to Elann, i am now making a post lol!

Nothing much is new! I'm flat out revising for exams and trying to write assignments (which is not happening very well at all) and I am now convinced that uni does this to everyone in third year of any course to make them drop out so that the uni doesn't have to pay for the degrees! Its simple!

Its Addictachat's 2nd birthday today and for that I am actually very excited! I never actually thought it would last and be a successful forum and it has and I've made some fabulous friends through there! Love it! Thank you everyone! :D (its almost like an Oscars speech!)

Well, its friday night, i have my bottle of wine, and I'm now off to watch some Chick Flicks! :D
